GC Rieber Using a new line of vegan DHA Omega-3 concentrates made from marine microalgae, VivoMega, a Norwegian producer of fish oils, has entered the algae oil market. The business declares today that its new line of vegan products has earned the International V-Label certification.

The V-Label certification, which was first introduced in Switzerland in 1996, has established clear standards and guidelines for categorizing products as vegan or vegetarian while guaranteeing the quality and provenance of ingredients and facilitating quick product identification for consumers.

“This certification further helps validate our efforts to provide a superior product with exceptional purity parameters and optimal sensory profiles. We launched our vegan DHA omega-3 at Expo West this year and received great customer feedback and engagement,” said Ståle Søfting, Sales and Marketing Director of GC Rieber VivoMega.

According to GC Rieber VivoMega, it has created a platform that can generate stable and powerful omega-3 concentrates to enhance human health. The heart, brain, eyes, and other parts of the body can all benefit from these fatty acids.

The business uses cutting-edge, in-house technology that was created expressly to extract oils from microalgae in a non-invasive, delicate manner at low temperatures that avoids oxidation. Additionally, this technology minimizes waste and guarantees effective resource utilization.

The vegan supplements from VivoMega are claimed to have the highest oxidation levels available on the market and to contain every “relevant” fatty acid. For three years, they can keep their best flavor, aroma, color, and freshness.

Furthermore, VivoMega has introduced VivoSens®, a technology that it says is a world first, and was created to analyze the elements that affect the flavor and aroma of omega-3 oils. This allows the company to improve both its manufacturing process and its end products.

The Norwegian biotech adds that VivoMega Algae Oils fully aligns with the EU Green Deal initiatives and the UN Global Compact guidelines
