There are several reasons why I was overcome with joy when one of my TJ crew/friends excitedly came up to me and asked if I’d tried their new vegan cultured cashew milk aka vegan kefir: 1) Clearly TJs is on point with the exponentially increasing vegan community ???? 2) TJs might actually be hearing both vegans and carnivores alike rally cry for LESS SUGAR PLEASE! These have ZERO added sugar ? ? ? Impressive!!! 3) It’s ORGANIC ?? ??? 4) There is a lot of versatility with both a plain-think savory dishes, dressings, dips or sweeter with the mango-think smoothies, frozen treats, but also salad dressings, etc... 5) The bottle is large enough for several servings so less waste 6) It’s full of healthy probiotics Before I get to the obvious con, let me just say that the crew member offered me a taste of the mango (it wasn’t on sample) and it’s delicious!!! Anyone who is used to the the high sugar kefirs and yogurts might think it bland, but I LOVED it! It has a natural sweetness that isn’t sickening and you can really taste the mango. Now I realize this comes in a plastic bottle which is a con for sure, but let’s remember that choosing plants over animals (including their secretions, aka milk) is the greatest positive impact we can make for our planet (not to mention our personal health and clearly the animals), and since most people aren’t going to take the time to make homemade kefir/yogurt, this is an overall win! Way to go @traderjoes ?????!!! #traderjoes #vegan #kefir #fermentedfoods #yogurt #probiotics #kidfriendlyfood #eatfortheplanet #plantbased #savetheplanet #sustainable #progressnotperfection
