LØCI BRAND SUPPORTED BY LEONARDO DICAPRIO RELEASES A LINE OF VEGAN SHOES
A new line of vegan shoes from LØCI are made from corn leather.
The newest line of shoes from the footwear company incorporates an ‘innovative fusion’ of recycled textile and 63 percent biodegradable maize husk.
According to LØCI the animal-free material is more environmentally friendly and just as “resistant and durable’ as animal leather.
The new line, which can be ordered online, includes high-tops and low-tops in various color combinations, all of which are imprinted with the recognizable LCI logo. Prices begin at £175.
Products that stand out
“We believe that the measure of our success lies in the magnitude of our impact,” said CEO Emmanuel Eribo. “Today, it is crucial to go beyond creating exceptional vegan products; we are here to drive change.
“That is why it is always imperative for us to think differently and swim against the tide.”
LØCI is supported by Leonardo DiCaprio
LØCI made news last year when it emerged that renowned actor Leonardo DiCaprio had contributed an undisclosed sum to support the brand’s growth.

Speaking to his 19.6 million Twitter followers, DiCaprio said: “I’m proud to be an investor in LØCI. A brand dedicated to minimizing its environmental impact, and centered around creating cruelty-free, ethical footwear.”
The actor has invested in a number of vegan brands, including the vegan fast food chain Neat Burger.
DiCaprio has also backed cultivated meat and seafood brands such as Mosa Meat and Aleph Farms.
