GREGGS BRINGS IN VEGAN OPTIONS TO MENU FOR VEGANUARY
For Veganuary 2023, the high-street bakery Greggs has increased the variety of plant-based and vegan options it offers. Greggs has become a favorite among vegans looking for inexpensive snacks.
The ever-expanding Greggs vegan menu now features two sandwiches, chicken goujons, and a soup.
The Vegan Southern Fried Chicken-Free Baguette and Vegan Chicken-Free Goujons are two of the new products, and they are currently available in stores all around the country. Greggs’ Warm Winter Vegetable Soup is additionally offered, and on January 7 the Vegan Chicken-Free Cajun Roll will be available.

When the bakery introduced its now-famous vegan sausage bun in 2019, it quickly became a solid favorite among many plant-based consumers. Since then, it has continued to expand its selection of vegan products, breakfast foods, and sweet treats.
Greggs enters the vegan chicken market
Greggs claims to have updated its Southern Fried Chicken Baguette (starting at £3.60), which now includes sliced red onion, chipotle chilli sauce, mature Cheddar vegan cheese, and chicken-free goujons.
The bakery calls its goujons, which are also sold separately (starting at £3.20), “a culinary revelation,” with a meatless nugget covered with delicately spiced southern fried breadcrumbs.
A white and wholemeal roll stuffed with chicken-free chunks, fresh salad leaves, chipotle chilli sauce, and Cajun spicy mayo is available in the new Vegan Cajun Chicken-Free Roll (starting at £3.05).
The new alternatives are added to Greggs’ already extensive vegan menu, which includes the renowned Vegan Sausage Roll, Glazed Ring Doughnut, and Sweet Potato and Onion Bhaji.
