Dunkin’ Donuts offers several vegan-friendly options for an affordable price. There are plenty of vegan-friendly options at Dunkin’ Donuts
Vegan Dunkin’ Donuts? This may come as news for you, but this fast food offers several vegan-friendly options besides their fabulous vegan donuts.
In response to a campaign by Compassion Over Killing (COK), Dunkin’ Donuts’ new CEO has announced that the company plans to release more plant-based options, including beverages.“Nobody does iced coffee and hot-drip coffee better than us,” Hoffman told media outlet Boston.com. But there’s a whole range of other products that we can get into around beverages, whether it’s re-establishing ourselves in espresso-based drinks to teas to plant-based drinks … We think that’s some of the runways for us long term.”
Vegan news from ladyfreethinker.org report that COK’s petition, is supported by former pro basketball player and referee Antoine Knighton.
The report continuous with statistic 14,000 signatures so far as consumers pressure the biggest donut chain in the US to cater to the growing number of people choosing to go vegan not only for their health but also for the benefits to animals and the environment. Finishes the report.
In 2014, Dunkin’ Donuts rolled out an initiative to use almond milk throughout the US, thanks in large part to a campaign from COK, giving consumers the choice of plant-based beverages in its 8,500 stores.
“After hearing the buzz from consumers nationwide, Dunkin’ Donuts started pouring out almond milk for coffee in 2014 – and plant-based demand has continued to soar,” COK Director of Corporate Outreach Laura Cascada told Lady Freethinker. “As our growing campaign shows, Dunkin’ has the chance to roll out a slam dunk – for consumers, the planet, and animals – by offering a vegan donut. That’s what thousands are asking for: vegan food to go along with their dairy-free coffee.”
COK Director of Corporate Outreach Laura Cascada told VegNews. “The company could roll out another slam dunk by introducing a vegan doughnut to meet the growing demand.”
Food and drink companies worldwide are starting to listen to vegan consumer’s demands for cruelty-free food and drinks. This year, Starbucks, one of Dunkin’s biggest competitors, also pledged to release more vegan menu choices.
With recent market research finding that 39% of Americans are looking for plant-based meal options, it’s time for Dunkin’ Donuts to keep up with the demand. We look forward to seeing more vegan news from them.
